Leo company's product prototype.

Leo Filter Press Manual Filter Press Construction:
1. Filter Press Frame: The frame holds the filter plates together and provides structural support.
2. Filter Plates: These are the core components where filtration occurs. Filter Press plates are typically made of polypropylene with various filtering pressure available
Filter Cloth: Filter cloth is covered on each plate to capture solid particles while allowing the liquid to pass through.
3. Manual Hydraulic System: A hand-operated manual hydraulic oil pump is used to apply pressure to the filter plates and filter cloth, ensuring a tight seal and efficient filtration.
4. Filter Press Feed Pump: A pump is used to push the slurry (mixture of liquid and solids) into the filter press.
5. Collection Tray(option): The filtered liquid (filtrate) is collected in a tray or channel beneath the filter plates to collect filtrate during filtration.
How a Manual Filter Press Works:
1. Preparation work before filtration: The filter plates are aligned, and the filter cloth is installed on each filter press plate.
2. Closing Filter Press: The filter plates are compressed together using the manual hydraulic system to close all the filter plates and filter cloth
3. Feed and filtering: The slurry is pumped into the filter press, filling the chambers between the filter plates.
4. Filtration: As filtering pressure is applied, the liquid passes through the filter cloth and exits through the filtrate ports, while the solids are trapped on the cloth, forming a filter cake.
5. Cake Discharge: Once filtration is complete, the filter press closing pressure is released, and the filter plates are separated to remove filter cake manually.
6. Cleaning: for several filter cycles, the filter cloth and plates need to be cleaned.
